
![]() The Skyline White Rock Lions Club gives a $10,000 donation to Patriot PAWS Service Dogs Organization (Patriot PAWS)Patriot PAWS is located in Rockwall, TX and is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that trains and provides service dogs for the benefit of disabled American Veterans in order to help restore their physical and emotional independence. The International Association of Lions Clubs is a 90-year-old organization dedicated to community service. The first national convention was held in Dallas in 1917. The international group and individual clubs participate in a variety of other service projects including cleaning parks, aiding victims of natural disasters, and help various charitable and nonprofit groups, including the Lions Sight and Tissue Foundation, the Texas Lions Camp, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and For the Love of the Lake. Recently, a news article in the Dallas Morning News about Patriot PAWS was brought to the attention of the Skyline White Rock Lions Club. Subsequently, Lori Stevens the Founder & CEO of Patriot PAWS was asked to give a demonstration to their Club about the Patriot PAWS service dog program. On June 1, 2007 Robert Brewer, President and Secretary, Jerry Wolfe of Skyline White Rock Lions Club presented a $10,000 check to Patriot PAWS to further help in their mission to train service dogs for disabled veterans.
